The feminist perspective asks us to look at Othello and assess the equality of women politically, socially and economically. The feminist perspective challenges sexism and those beliefs and practices that result in the oppression of women. When we look at Othello from this type of perspective, it is important to note how the women of this play are treated and stereotyped.
