Introduction to Week 5

Who is Sophocles?

During week five we will continue to explore fundamental playwrights and works of Greek Theater. Many of you will more than likely recognize the Greek play Oedipus Rex, written by Sophocles. If you only read or study one Greek tragedy, this will more than likely be it, it is equivalent to Hamlet in terms of importance.
