What is Web 2.0?
What is Web 2.0? To define this, let's start by thinking about what the internet was like back in the 1990's. When the internet first came out, users were only able to receive information. We could open up a website and read the information contained, but that was the extent of what we could do. Web 2.0 is a term used to define the next stage of internet development where the internet became interactive. Web 2.0 refers to sites where the users are able to contribute back to the internet. No longer are we simply receiving information on the web, we are also giving it. Watch the video below for more examples of Web 2.0 sites and applications.
