CREATE: Sliderocket on Language and Vocabulary

This week you will create and present a sliderocket presentation, highlighting what you feel are the main, important points in regard to language and vocabulary appropriate to public speaking. The slide show needs to be a total of 6 slides, 1 for an introduction, and 5 to cover the topic. (You may use more slides if needed).

DIRECTIONS

Click on TOOLS, then SLIDEROCKET in the Moodle Menu Bar.

1.You should be automatically logged into Sliderocket, if this does not happen,then log in using your OHSU email as the login ID and the password "student".

2.Click "New Presentation" (green button in upper left-hand corner)

3.Name your presentation LASTNAME Language and Vocabulary Presentation (ex. BRAY Language and Vocabulary Presentation) and choose a theme.

4.Use the TEXT and PICTURE tools to create your Introductory Slide and 5 additional slides

5.To find pictures, click on PICTURE, then Flickr (located along top menu bar). Do a flickr search to find appropriate images; check the images and choose OK (located in bottom right corner.) The image(s) will be imported into your slideshow.

6.You need to add audio to your slideshow, as this is public speaking. Click the AUDIO button and record narration for the slide by clicking the RECORD button. Additionally, you could add a soundtrack by clicking ADD AUDIO and uploading, then choosing an mp3.

·To submit your finished slideshow presentation, click SHARE (located in the top menu bar).

·In the pop-up box, check "Make this presentation public" and then copy the url that comes after "Anyone can view this presentation at the following URL". You must click OKAY (at the bottom of the window), or the slideshow link will not work properly.

·On this assignment page, choose EDIT MY SUBMISSION and paste the URL to your slideshow in the textbox. Then click SAVE.
