This short film puts some of the actual battle footage of World War I to music as a memorial for the soldiers who fought and died. World War I was the first major war ever to be filmed. The war began in 1914 nearly 100 years ago. When the war began soldiers were told that the war would be over by Christmas, in reality the war would last more than 4 years. By the end of the war 65 million men across the world served in the military, more than 10 million were killed and over 20 million wounded. In four short years of fighting Europe lost nearly an entire generation of young men between the ages of 18 and 35.
